Tablet Press Controller (TPC) also known as Tablet Press Sentry (TPS)
TPC Applications System Features System Benefits Operation Criteria Technical Support
Preventive Maintenance Program Calibration Services Recipe Example Punch Histogram
Why do you need TPC/TPS?
alarm and emergency shutdown
force control with out of spec tablet rejection
in-process tablet weight control
batch recipes, graphic displays, printed reports
we can retrofit any tablet press to work with the TPC
direct replacement of older inefficient controllers
compliance with the 21 CFR Part 11 regulations
long distance customer support via modem
one year warranty and a complete guarantee of satisfaction
The TPC/TPS system simplifies operator training, as the operators will need to be trained on only one control system for all your machines. Supervisory Node can optionally monitor all tablet presses on a production floor. Complete Validation Service is available.

On this screen, you can see an example of a typical control recipe with dosing cam adjustment, rejection, alarm and shutdown limits expressed as a percent deviation from the target compression force. For a given tablet thickness, compression force is proportional to tablet weight in the vicinity of the target.

Histogram of Punch Performance
Irregularities in punch tolerances become visible on a bar histogram where each bar corresponds to peak force produced by each punch. As the new revolution arrives, the bar lengths are adjusted. If you see that a particular bar persists in being taller or smaller than the rest, it means that you have a long or short punch.
